Mission and 4th Street

The Mission District is one of Calgary's most desirable neighbourhoods, bordered by the winding Elbow River to the south and east, and by 4th Street and 17th Avenue to the north and west. Tree-lined 4th Street is populated by some of Calgary's best known eateries, including South Block, La Boulangerie, Vin Room, Anejo, Mercato, Earls Tin Palace, OEB, Famoso, Shokunin, Rajdoot, and Seed and Salt. Many amenities are within walking distance from your home in Roxboro House, including a tailor shop and dry cleaning, groceries, liquor store, banks, pharmacies, walk-in clinics and coffee shops. The #3 bus stop is right outside your door for a quick 10 minute ride to the downtown core, but why take the bus when it takes only 25 minutes to walk to Stephen Avenue? For the weekend, you are steps away from the Elbow River with access to the Calgary pathway system and Trans Canada Trail, that leads to both the Bow River pathway and west through Stanley Park right up to the Glenmore Reservoir. Repsol Centre recreation complex is a 10 minute walk where you will find an aquatic centre, indoor track, exercise classes and weight room facilities. At the end of May you will have a front row seat for the Lilac Festival on 4th Street, one of Calgary's most popular events. We are even lucky enough to have a night market on 26th Avenue for two weekends in August. This location is truly a gem and provides every convenience you can imagine during your stay.
